Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the RPT.
• Must obtain 10 CECs in Sleep per year.
• Must have valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification in CPR.

Responsibilities

• Review history, physical, medications, orders, and study protocol.
• Complete and verify documentation.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to the International 10-20 system.
• Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and titration.
• Conduct artifact-free studies and make adjustments.
• Implement appropriate interventions including CPAP, Bi-level, and oxygen administration.
• Assist with Sleep/Wake stages.
• Clean equipment according to protocol.
• Monitor inventory.
• Score polysomnographic studies according to The AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events.
• Serve as a resource for Polysomnographic technicians.
