Job summary

Emory Healthcare seeks a qualified Sleep Technician to operate polysomnographic recording equipment and monitor sleep studies. You will score recordings for physician interpretation and assist with patient care in the sleep laboratory.

The role requires RPSGT and BLS certifications, with responsibilities including applying electrodes, titrating respiratory therapies, and educating patients on CPAP/BiPAP use. Shift: 7p–7:30a.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (degree preferred).
• One year of related experience.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates polysomnographic recording equipment to record and evaluate sleep/wake disorders.
• Monitors including transcutaneous and End-Tidal CO₂ measurements.
• Scores polysomnographic studies for physician interpretation.
• Applies and removes electrodes and monitoring equipment used in polysomnography, including EKG, EMG, EOG, air flow, oximetry.
