Job summary

The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona is seeking a skilled Sleep Technician to join our team to diagnose and improve sleep health for our patients. The ideal candidate is experienced in conducting sleep studies in accordance with AASM standards and works effectively under the direction of the Director of Sleep Diagnostic Services.

You will prepare and conduct sleep studies, score data, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience for patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited sleep technology program (certificate or associate degree).
• Certification by a nationally recognized board (e.g., RST, RPSGT, RRT-SDS).
• Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history, confirm medical orders, and assess individual needs.
• Greet patients, verify identity, obtain consent, and explain procedures.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment; apply electrodes and sensors per protocol.
• Fit and desensitize patients to PAP interfaces.
• Perform and monitor sleep tests (MSLT, MWT, PAP titration, oxygen titration, parasomnia studies).
• Monitor data quality, correct artifacts, and document clinical observations.
• Implement therapeutic interventions (PAP, oxygen) as needed.
• Complete lights on procedures and assist patients post-study.
• Score sleep stages and generate reports following AASM guidelines.
