Job summary

The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona in the Phoenix metro area (Gilbert, Phoenix, Scottsdale) seeks a full‑time Sleep Medicine Physician (MD or DO) to join our on‑site clinical team evaluating and treating diverse sleep disorders.

You will collaborate with pulmonology, neurology, behavioral health, and sleep technologists to develop evidence‑based plans, conduct sleep studies, and guide long‑term patient care while staying current with emerging research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, Neurology, Family Medicine, or related specialty.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
• Demonstrated clinical experience evaluating and managing sleep disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, diagnostic sleep studies, and other relevant testing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating behavioral interventions, PAP therapies, oral appliances, medication management, or other clinically appropriate methods.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment strategies, and manage any complications or therapy‑related concerns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including pulmonologists, neurologists, behavioral health professionals, and sleep technologists—to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on sleep hygiene, lifestyle adjustments, treatment compliance, and disease prevention.
• Stay current with emerging research, technologies, and evidence‑based practices in sleep medicine.
• Contribute to clinical documentation, quality improvement efforts, and ongoing program development.
