Job summary

The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona is seeking a skilled Sleep Technician to perform sleep studies, score data, and ensure a safe, comfortable patient experience. The role requires adherence to AASM standards under the Director of Sleep Diagnostic Services.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, applying sensors, PAP interfaces, and generating accurate reports while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited sleep technology program (certificate or associate degree).
• Certification by a board such as RST, RPSGT, or RRT-SDS.
• Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct sleep studies; score data and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Review patient history, confirm orders, and explain procedures.
• Calibrate equipment, apply electrodes and sensors per protocol.
• Monitor data quality, correct artifacts, and document clinical observations.
• Educate patients on home sleep testing and equipment handling.
