Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team for 12-hour night shifts, with a 36-hour weekly schedule. The role involves sleep study procedures or neurological testing across patient populations, utilizing polysomnography equipment, and ensuring detailed documentation in the medical record.

You will work under the guidance of the department to uphold AASM standards, educate patients, and support care across all age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or other medical specialty preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience in Sleep Disorders field preferred.
• Knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, and ability to use computers for patient documentation.
• Must obtain RPSGT or Sleep Disorder Specialty (RRT-SDS) within 2 years or be enrolled in qualifying modules/programs.
• If working in North Dakota, licensed as RRT or RPSGT.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations.
• Understand testing equipment, structure, function, indications, and basic maintenance.
• Monitor and document appropriately in medical records per facility guidelines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of AASM standards and accreditation.
• Educate patients on prescribed therapies and sleep testing; follow up as needed.
• Work with all age groups and patients with developmental needs.
