Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking a compassionate Polysomnographic Technologist to join our sleep lab. You will perform sleep study procedures or neurological testing across patient populations, using diagnostic equipment, documenting in the medical record, and upholding AASM standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sleep disorders and electrical safety.
• Proficient with patient data entry and documentation systems.
• Understanding of testing equipment, indications for use, and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for diverse patients.
• Operate testing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Document results accurately in the medical record per facility guidelines.
• Apply AASM standards and accreditation knowledge to testing.
• Understand diseases and conditions encountered.
• Educate patients on prescribed therapies and testing.
• Work with all age groups including special populations.
