Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a full-time Sleep Technologist to coordinate home sleep testing and provisioning of durable medical equipment for clinic patients. The role includes pulmonary function and rehab testing, collaboration with physicians and families, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced sleep care setting.

The position runs 8am–5pm and emphasizes patient education, data management, and liaison work across sleep centers to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; further education preferred.
• Formal sleep technology or respiratory therapy education required.
• One year of education may substitute for one year of experience.
• Anatomy of sleep and respiratory monitoring knowledge is essential.
• Ability to work with EMR/EHR and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate home sleep testing and provisioning of DME per standards.
• Perform pulmonary function tests, exercise tests, and rehab activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to manage sleep disorders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and timely equipment provisioning.
• Educate patients on device use, data collection, and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy in EMR.
