Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Sleep Technologist to perform and evaluate sleep testing under medical supervision. The role involves operating polysomnograms, monitoring patient safety, and scoring results to ensure high-quality recordings.
Responsibilities include administering prescribed therapies such as CPAP/BiPAP, monitoring oxygen saturations, and educating patients and families. A licensed AMA respiratory care program graduate with CPR and RST/RPSGT eligibility is required.
The Sleep Technologist works under medical supervision to perform and evaluate sleep testing. Functions independently to safely operate sophisticated medical equipment, monitor and score sleep wake physiology, recognize sleep physiology when it occurs and respond with the appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety and quality recordings.
Provides sleep testing within the Medical Center and in other contracted medical settings according to physicians' orders and policies and procedures to include infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) program of respiratory care required. Must provide evidence of licensure/certification for practice area as required by state or federal standards/regulations. Prior clinical experience preferred. Registration as Registered Sleep Therapist (RST) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required at hire or within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
