Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center seeks a Sleep Technologist to coordinate home sleep testing and provision durable medical equipment for clinic patients. You will perform pulmonary function tests, CPAP/BIPAP adjustments, and education to patients, families, and physicians.

You will also ensure regulatory compliance, document medical necessity, and stay current with CMS and private insurance guidelines while collaborating with sleep center colleagues and hospital departments.

Qualifications

• Requires AASM RPSGT registration and state license where applicable.
• One year of relevant education may substitute for one year of work experience.
• Experience as a Sleep Technologist or DME support is preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates home sleep testing and DME provisioning for clinic patients.
• Perform pulmonary function and cardiopulmonary tests and provide reports to physicians.
• Educate patients on device use and home care and ensure regulatory compliance.
