Banner Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sleep Technician for night shifts within Banner Staffing Services-AZ. The role involves conducting diagnostic sleep monitoring studies, including home sleep tests, and supporting clinicians with interpretation and care.

You will work with an experienced team in a busy sleep lab at BUMC Tucson, ensuring quality and safety in patient care. The position requires registry in sleep technology, BLS, and at least 3 years of sleep testing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Registry by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists or NBRC as an RRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 3 years of experience in sleep disorders testing.
• Proficient in sleep testing equipment and EEG theory relevant to sleep monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed diagnostic sleep monitoring studies, including home sleep tests.
• Analyze sleep records, identify sleep stages and quantify physiologic processes.
• Ensure accurate recordings and troubleshoot during testing.
• Collect medical history and medication information for prescribed studies.
• Assist with department policies, procedures and quality improvement.
• Support leadership with scheduling, orientation and training of staff.
