Job summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Registered Polysomnography Technician to provide sleep monitoring and interventions for patients. Responsibilities include registering patients, gathering pre-study paperwork, preparing patients and equipment, explaining procedures, completing follow-up notes, performing polysomnography studies and data analysis, entering charges, and cleaning study equipment.

This role will also have some administrative and clerical duties within the department to support

Qualifications

• Licensed as RRT or CRT with RPSGT or SDS certification.
• Experience with sleep monitoring procedures and patient interaction.
• Healthcare experience in critical care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect pre-study paperwork.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
• Explain procedures and interactions to patients.
• Perform polysomnography studies and analyze data.
• Enter charges and manage study equipment cleaning.
• Support departmental daily operations and administrative tasks.
