Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a qualified Polysomnographic Technologist to join our Respiratory Therapy team. The role involves preparing equipment, interviewing patients, performing sleep studies, scoring results, and educating patients on results and resources.

BRPT certification and BLS within 30 days are required; candidates must think critically, work well under pressure, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Must hold BRPT certification as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential preferred/required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares equipment and room for sleep testing.
• Interviews patients to determine sleep disorder issues and test procedures.
• Performs sleep tests and any additional required testing.
• Scores, interprets, and reports sleep study results.
• Educates patients about test results and resources.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment; arranges repairs as needed.
• Ensures supplies are available for patient care.
