Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join the Respiratory Therapy team in North Carolina. The role involves preparing equipment, interviewing patients, conducting sleep studies, scoring results, and educating patients on sleep disorders and available resources.

Applicants should be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with BRPT certification and have or obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required.
• BRPT certification (NC) current is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient testing by setting up and calibrating equipment.
• Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explains procedures.
• Performs sleep testing and any required re-tests.
• Scores, interprets, and reports sleep study results; educates patients on findings and resources.
• Maintains and repairs equipment and keeps supplies stocked.
