Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist specialized in sleep medicine to join our polysomnography team. The role includes preparing equipment, interviewing patients, performing sleep studies, scoring and reporting results, educating patients, and maintaining equipment.

You must be BRPT certified and obtain BLS within 30 days of hire, with strong critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• BRPT certification required at BRPT
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgement
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare equipment for sleep studies.
• Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain procedures.
• Perform and assist with sleep testing as ordered.
• Score, interpret, and report sleep study results.
• Educate patients about test results and resources.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and supplies.
