Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a part-time outpatient clinic role in Billings, MT. You will perform nursing care, triage, and education for patients of the pulmonary team, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and coordinated care.

The position requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least one year of clinic or hospital nursing experience. A BSN is preferred and eligibility for on-site work in the Downtown Medical Group setting is assumed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
• Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Obtains and documents health history, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
• Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
• Executes prescribed treatments and medications, monitors progress and patient response, and consults with physicians as needed.
• Educates patients and families about health status, maintenance, and management of conditions.
• Documents patient assessment and intervention data using medical records systems.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
• Tracks quality assurance data and monitors acute and chronic care management.
