Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including diagnostic testing, patient care, and education. The role involves overseeing other sleep center staff and ensuring data integrity across studies.

The position requires NYS licensure, RST/RPSGT/SDS credentials, and a minimum of 3 years of polysomnographic experience, with an emphasis on patient safety and quality reporting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or the equivalent.
• Associate or higher degree program in polysomnographic technology preferred.
• 3 years minimum experience as a Polysomnographic Technician or Technologist.
• Authorized Polysomnographic Technologist licensed in New York State in good standing.
• Certification by a nationally recognized board and holds RST/RPSGT/SDS credential.

Responsabilités

• Collect and analyze patient information to identify needs.
• Determine testing parameters with the ordering physician and lab protocols.
• Review medical orders and follow sleep center protocols.
• Explain the procedure and orient the patient for sleep testing.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards.
• Performs PAP interface fitting and desensitization.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events using AASM standards.
• Generate accurate reports for polysomnographic results.
• Provide age-specific care across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Comply with safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
