Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced sleep technician to perform polysomnography and respiratory procedures for patients with suspected sleep disorders. You will assist in supervising sleep center staff and coordinate scheduling to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements include an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program, Ohio respiratory care license, NBRC credentials, CPR, and at least one year of polysomnography experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two year Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Ohio license in Respiratory Care, required.
• CRT or RRT credential, NBRC, required.
• CPR certification, required.
• One year of polysomnography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling coordination and supervision/training of polysomnography staff.
• Complete technical reports and maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting and artifact identification.
• Monitor patients and ensure safety during procedures.
• Perform polysomnography procedures and respiratory testing per policies.
• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures; collect pertinent information.
