Job summary

University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, is seeking a Research Lab Technician B to support NASA-funded sleep and cognitive performance studies. The RA will schedule subjects, submit manuscripts, prepare IRB materials, and manage lab equipment and supplies in a dynamic research environment.

The role involves data backup, quality control, and analysis, plus monitoring subjects in sleep confinement studies. It is contingent upon funding and located in Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and contact study subjects; prepare and submit manuscripts; prepare IRB proposals, amendments and resubmissions; order lab supplies; configure and ship equipment.
• Assist investigators with data backup, quality control and analysis.
• Monitor subjects in laboratory studies on sleep and confinement; support NASA-sponsored projects under Dr. Mathias Basner.
