Job summary

University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine seeks a Research Lab Technician B to support Dr. Mathias Basner's NASA-sponsored sleep and cognitive performance studies in a laboratory setting in Philadelphia.

The RA will schedule subjects, prepare manuscripts, IRB proposals and amendments, order lab supplies, and assist with data backup, QC and analysis. This role may involve monitoring subjects in sleep studies and will be contingent on funding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and contact study subjects.
• Prepare and submit manuscripts.
• Prepare IRB proposals, amendments and resubmissions.
• Order lab supplies; configure and ship equipment.
• Assist investigators with data backup, quality control and analysis.
• Monitor subjects in sleep studies; support NASA-sponsored projects.
