Job summary

Sentara Belleharbour Sleep Center in Suffolk, VA is seeking a part-time Patient Services Coordinator for day shifts (8am-12pm or 12pm-4pm, weekends optional). You will coordinate patient care, verify insurance, arrange scheduling and pre-registration, and support care plans to maximize reimbursement.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and healthcare experience; an associate degree or related certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires prior healthcare experience or related training.
• Experience with insurance verification and pre-certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to coordinate scheduling, registration, and communication with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care activities for Sleep Center patients.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certifications.
• Schedule appointments, pre-registration and order transmission.
• Assist in securing funding and reducing claim denials.
• Serve as liaison between clinical sites and offices.
