Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital’s Sleep Wake Disorder Center seeks a Patient Care Support Associate to help move patients through sleep studies with strong customer focus and effective communication with physicians, staff and patients.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, coordinating scheduling with the Pulmonary office, handling registration and billing, entering demographics into the EMR, verifying insurance benefits, and obtaining prior authorizations as required by insurers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related healthcare experience preferred.
• Registration, billing, or patient care roles in a medical setting are common backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Move patients through the Sleep Center, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and support physicians and sleep technicians.
• Manage patient registration, billing entries, and insurance benefits verification.
• Coordinate scheduling with the Pulmonary office and maintain accurate charts and data.
