Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a diligent Patient Services Coordinator to support our Sleep Medicine team at SouthPark. This full-time role Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm involves coordinating referrals, obtaining prior authorizations, and scheduling to ensure seamless patient care.

You will review benefits, educate patients on insurance coverage, and assist with WatchPAT device guidance and billing encounters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of insurance coverage and medical necessity policies preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical records software preferred.
• Vaccination TB test and Hepatitis B vaccine completion required or record provided.

Responsibilities

• Assists with coordinating referrals and scheduling.
• Obtains prior authorizations for sleep studies.
• Educates patients on insurance coverage and benefits.
• Guides patients on WatchPAT setup and device use.
• Schedules WatchPAT pickups and tracks referrals.
• Protects patient confidentiality and handles sensitive information.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
