Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) in Nashville seeks a Consulting Systems Engineer for our SLED team to partner with Higher Education and State Government customers. You will deliver hands-on leadership, architectural guidance, and end-to-end solution design that aligns with customers’ academic, civic, and community missions.

You will translate requirements into scalable, future-ready architectures, collaborate with sales and engineering teams, and guide proposals and implementation roadmaps that

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical consulting, systems engineering with customer-facing duties.
• 3+ years in technical sales with domain certs; security background preferred.
• Strong experience with Cisco technologies; CCNP/CCNA a plus.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise networks and modern architectures.
• Willing to travel up to 25% locally and to surrounding states.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand the customer's objectives, technology landscape, and enterprise environment.
• Translate requirements into cohesive, outcome-driven solution strategies.
• Collaborate with sales and cross-functional WWT teams to marshal expertise and resources.
• Lead solution design and technology selection to align with customer needs.
• Create clear solution architectures, diagrams, and supporting documentation.
• Develop and deliver customer-facing presentations and proposals.
• Define scope, level of effort, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Support RFP responses with technical leadership and solution content.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, sales partners, and internal stakeholders.
