Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a Consulting Systems Engineer for our SLED team serving Higher Education and State Government customers in Michigan and Indianapolis. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, enable solution architectures, and guide executive-level discussions to deliver mission-aligned outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in technical consulting, systems engineering, or technical specialist roles with customer-facing responsibilities.
• 3+ years of technical sales experience in a relevant industry with associate- to advanced-level technical certification; security background preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies; CCNP/CCNA certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% locally and in surrounding states.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s objectives, technology landscape, and enterprise environment.
• Translate business and technical requirements into cohesive, outcome-driven solution strategies.
• Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to engage the right expertise and resources.
• Lead solution design and technology selection to align with customer needs and long-term goals.
• Define scope, effort, and Statements of Work (SOWs) and support RFP responses with technical leadership.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, sales partners, and internal stakeholders.
