Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber (DL Required) to trim, top, and reshape trees to provide clearance for utility powerlines. The role involves operating tools, loading debris, and coordinating with customers while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include tree work, equipment maintenance, and assisting training of new staff. A CDL may be required and pre-employment checks are possible. This is a full-time, non-exempt position; benefits vary by tenure.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights and comfortable working at heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination and balance.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights in demanding conditions.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Willing to join local union and pay union dues.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trim and/or remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Load/unload trucks and feed debris into woodchipper.
• Direct traffic and set up safety barriers to protect workers and public.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue; assist training new employees.
