Job summary

Transforming Age’s Skyline at First Hill in Seattle is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator to support the Terraces Lifestyle Manager by providing activities and programs for residents in the Assisted Living Community, promoting health, wellbeing, engagement and growth. Creativity is welcome.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 1–3 years of related experience, plus excellent communication skills and a strong sense of hospitality and teamwork within a resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written in English).
• Background check and possible state/local screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, scheduling and conducting lifestyle programs for residents’ physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Attends community functions and coordinates events from setup to breakdown.
• Helps plan programs for holidays and special events.
• Implements the events calendar and distributes the community newsletter.
• Maintains ongoing communication with residents, families and staff.

The pay for this role is $23 - $25 per hour DOE.

The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Terraces Lifestyle Manager in providing activities, programs and opportunities for residents who live in the Assisted Living Community that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement, and growth. Creativity welcome!

• Assists in planning, scheduling and conducting lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residents.
• Attends all community planned functions and coordinates event from beginning to end including setup, facilitation and breakdown for the event.
• Helps plan appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
• Implements the calendar of events as scheduled by the Director/Coordinator.
• Helps distribute community newsletter.
• Provides ongoing communication with residents and, as necessary, family members.
• Assists Manager in leadership of wellness program.
• Interacts with residents, guests and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality.
• Protects the privacy of the resident when communication oral and written information.
• Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written in English) and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.
• First Aid and/or CPR training may be required in certain state/local jurisdictions.
• Completion of a background screen. Additional screening such as drug screen, physical, fingerprint, and/or TB test may be required per state/local guidelines.
