Job summary

Parkshore Madison Park in Seattle seeks an Activities Coordinator to plan and run lifestyle programs that enrich residents’ lives. You will coordinate events from setup to breakdown and assist with wellness activities, holidays, and communications with residents’ families.

You’ll work with staff to transport residents to events, promote the community mission, and ensure privacy and care standards are upheld. Strong hospitality and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Available to work scheduled events on holidays.
• First Aid/CPR training may be required in certain state/local jurisdictions.
• Completion of a background screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling and conducting lifestyle programs for residents.
• Attend community functions and coordinate events from start to finish including setup, facilitation and breakdown.
• Help plan programs for holidays and special events; implement the events calendar.
• Distribute community newsletter and communicate with residents and families as needed.
• Assist Manager in leadership of wellness program; interact with residents, guests and staff.
• Transport residents to activities using the community bus; protect resident privacy.
• Promote Transforming Age's Mission, Vision and Values; perform other duties as assigned.

Additional screening such as drug screen, physical, fingerprint, and/or TB test may be required per state/local guidelines.
