Job summary

Legends Global's Sky View Observatory in Seattle is hiring a Cook to prepare, execute, and deliver safely handled food for the team and guests. You will follow recipes, support opening and closing procedures, and maintain clean, organized kitchen spaces.

The role requires 2–4 years in a fast-paced food service, a high school diploma or GED, and strong English communication and food safety knowledge. You will work nights, weekends, and holidays in a high-volume kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required; culinary degree/cert preferred.
• 2–4 years in fast-paced restaurant, catering, or food service.
• Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize under pressure.
• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation; maintain clean appearance.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and menus; basic math and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, positive attitude while delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, including prep, sanitation, and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Follow daily prep lists and timelines; complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare food according to recipes while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, storage spaces and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu offerings, including specials and dietary considerations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, supervisors, and front-of-house teams for seamless service.
• Monitor inventory levels; perform weekly counts and assist with ordering decisions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards at all times.
• Adapt to changing assignments and support different areas as needed.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
