Job Title/Department: Server / Sky House
Position Type: Seasonal - Full Time & Part Time
Starting Wage: $11 plus tips
Supervisory: No Supervised by: Sky House FOH Manager
Position Summary: Work on top of the mountain! To provide the highest quality of service to guests in accordance with company policies and objectives, to strive toward guest satisfaction, positive employee relations, and profitability. The food server is the primary contact the guest has during their experience at the Sky House. The server is also the primary salesperson; therefore, thorough knowledge of our menus is critical. You are responsible for ringing in orders, handling payment, and seeing to the needs of our guests. Maintains positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Assists others whenever able. Takes a proactive approach to teamwork.
Applicants should be 21 years or older due to alcohol service.
Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Required to lift over 25lbs frequently and over 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite will be inside and outside. All sensory skills needed.
Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and are not limited to these items.
Cash handling, multi-tasking
Bar drink and food knowledge; English reading, writing, and communication; basic math; knowledge of Idaho State Liquor and identification laws
Minimum 1+ job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence; wine knowledge preferred
