Job summary

Air Methods in Thermal, California, seeks an experienced RN with 3+ years in critical care to join our helicopter emergency medical team. You will provide advanced patient care, triage, and transport under CBS Medical Director standards, ensuring safety and rapid response.

The role requires current state RN licensure, EMS certifications, and the ability to work a demanding schedule including on-call, with ongoing education support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for states of practice.
• EMS or MICN certification/licensure as required by state regulations.
• Certifications in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR; ACLS; PALS or equivalent.
• Advanced trauma certifications (TPATC/TNCC/ITLS/PHTLS) within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and maintain thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and continuing education.
• Ensure equipment functionality and adequate onboard supplies for patient care.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings, mission debriefings, and post-mission documentation.
• Assist with safety and coordination during neonatal/pediatric transports and follow-up activities.
