Job summary

Howden, a Chart Industries company, is seeking an experienced Welder for the Windsor, CT location. You will weld components in various positions, perform TIG and MIG welding daily, and review blueprints to determine materials and procedures. The role requires 3+ years of welding experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required.
3+ years welding experience is expected.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Mechanical aptitude is required.
Current and valid certification is a plus.
Overtime may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Perform TIG and MIG welding daily.
Review blueprints, work instructions, and specs to determine materials and procedures.
Layout, position, align, and secure parts using measuring tools.
Weld aluminum and stainless steel, as needed.
Clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt parts to achieve configurations.
Follow all quality and safety procedures; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
