Job summary

Howden, a Chart Industries company, is seeking an experienced Welder for the Windsor, CT location. You will weld components in various positions, perform TIG and MIG welding daily, and review blueprints to determine materials and procedures. The role requires 3+ years of welding experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding daily.
• Review blueprints, work instructions, and specs to determine materials and procedures.
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts using measuring tools.
• Weld aluminum and stainless steel, as needed.
• Clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt parts to achieve configurations.
• Follow all quality and safety procedures; maintain a clean, safe workspace.

We are currently seeking an experienced Welder based at our Windsor, CT location.

What Will You Do?

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Perform TIG and MIG welding on a daily basis
• Reviews blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine appropriate materials, tools, and procedures needed to complete processes
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
• Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum and stainless steel
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require...

Standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and walking production floor, must be able to lift up to 25lbs. Use a computer

Your Experience Should Be...

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 plus years of welding experience
