Job summary

Chart Industries in Windsor, CT is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. Based at our Windsor, CT facility, you will weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and perform TIG and MIG welding daily.

You will review blueprints, lay out and align parts, and set up fabricating equipment such as shears, brakes, rollers, saws, seam welder, plasma cutter and punch press. A High School Diploma and 3+ years welding experience are required; current certifications are a

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
3+ years welding experience required.
Current and valid certification a plus.
Must possess mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Perform TIG and MIG welding on a daily basis.
Review blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine materials, tools, and procedures.
Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly using measuring tools.
Weld with aluminum and stainless steel.
Set up and operate fabricating machines (shears, brakes, rollers, saws, plasma cutter, punch press).
Verify conformance of work pieces to specification using measuring tools.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
