Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a dependable welder to fabricate and assemble metal structures using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools. This role requires reading piping schematics and blueprints, and performing quality detailing with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least two years of welding experience in pipeline construction, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining production standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' welding experience in pipeline construction.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations on pipe, vessels, structural skids and equipment.
• Weld CS and SS piping; read blueprints and schematics.
• Layout, cut, fit and prepare material for welding.
• Operate oxy-acetylene torch to cut, braze, weld and solder.
• Maintain facilities and equipment; perform quality detailing.
• Identify and report safety and environmental concerns; follow standards.
• Complete documentation and paperwork as required.
