Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, remodel, retrofit and repair structures using wood, drywall, plaster, concrete and brick.
• Study blueprints and plans to determine dimensions and materials.
• Cut materials to measurements using hand tools or power saws.
• Mark cutting lines using ruler and pencil.
• Verify trueness with plumb bob and level; assemble framework with fasteners.
• Remove damaged parts and repair or replace as needed.
• Install metal framing or decorative trim for openings and features.
• Cut and join metal channels for floor/ceiling frames per plans.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work at height.
• Perform other duties as needed.
