Job summary

Pepper Construction Group LLC in Chicago is seeking skilled carpenters to construct, erect, install and repair structures using wood, plywood, metal and wallboard, following sketches and blueprints.

You will work with doors, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials and millwork, measure and cut materials, and assist with scaffolding, subflooring, and framing as needed. Pepper pays at union scale with union benefits and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry on construction sites.
• Ability to read sketches and blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install and repair structures using wood, plywood, metal and wallboard.
• Install doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials and millwork.
• Measure, cut and fit materials; prepare and align frames and supports.
