Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instructional content for the NCCER Core Curriculum aligned with NCCER standards.
• Provide training in safety, tool operation, construction math, blueprint reading, employability skills.
• Conduct limited hands-on skills training and maintain thorough class preparation.
• Coordinate with local construction employers to expose trainees to entry-level careers.
• Assist with program administration, documentation, and record keeping.
• Ensure safe practices per OSA and NCCER guidelines and support field trips.

This position ensures trainees gain essential knowledge in safety procedures, proper use of hand and power tools, construction match, blueprint reading, communication, employability skills, and materials handling.The Skilled Trades Trainer works closely with Skilled Trades Program Manager to maintain NCCER Core Curriculum standards, provide high-quality instruction, support trainees’ career goals, and build relationships with local construction employers to create exposure to entry-level employment opportunities.
