Job description

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician – Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing at our Cummins Inc. facility in North Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing skilled activities supporting manufacturing needs with appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and reporting hazards.
  • Maintaining high quality standards through inspections and quality work.
  • Conducting preventive, emergency, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Promoting a safe work environment by recognizing hazards and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Working with peers to improve process efficiency and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintaining clear communication with team members and support staff.
  • Participating in training and engaging with TPM teams for ongoing improvements.

Qualifications include:

  • Decision-making skills to keep operations smooth.
  • Proactive health and safety behaviors to contribute to an injury-free workplace.
  • Ability to recognize and mitigate hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for continuous improvement.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
  • Possibility of licensing for export controls or sanctions compliance.
  • Some work experience or intermediate knowledge through education or on-the-job training.

Additional information:

  • Data tracking experience is preferred.
