Job summary

Constantia Flexibles in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Slitter Assistant Operator to join the production team and support efficient slitting and rewinding processes.

You will read work orders, monitor quality, operate slitters and rewinders, perform setup, document SAP/PDC data, and assist packers while maintaining 5-S and GMP requirements. The role requires a 12-hour night shift, 6:40pm–7am, with safety as a priority.

No supervisory duties; basic training on equipment and safety will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with or without related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, work orders, and specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills for quality checks and paperwork.
• SAP/PDC familiarity is a plus and helpful for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitters and rewinders as part of the production team.
• Provide leadership and training to packers on equipment and processes.
• Read and interpret work orders and job specs for upcoming production.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and SAP/PDC data for jobs.
• Perform quality checks and adjust equipment to meet customer specs.
• Maintain 5-S standards and assist with setup for current and upcoming jobs.
• Report safety, quality, waste, and production issues to supervisors.
