Vail Resorts in Colorado is seeking a winter Seasonal Ski Patrol to ensure guest safety across diverse terrain. Starting wage is $21 to $25.05 per hour, with full-time hours available and housing options.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English required for communication with guests and team members.
  • Excellent guest service skills to enhance visitor experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-mafety mountain environment.
  • Comfort and proficiency in skiing terrains under varying winter conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and promote guest safety on varied terrain in winter conditions.
  • Assist injured or ill guests on the mountain and administer first aid.
  • Transport injured guests off the mountain using a toboggan or assist with air lift operations.
  • Maintain trails and hazard identifications; set up closures and safety materials.
  • Transport supplies and heavy equipment using skis/snowboard where needed.
  • Perform closing procedures to ensure guest safety at day end.
  • Enforce the Skier Responsibility Code and resort policies.
  • Assist with chairlift and guest evacuations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the ski patrol leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements
  • Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test,capable of skiing all types of terrain under all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a mountainenvironment

The expected pay range is$21/hr - $25.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
