Job summary

Vail Resorts Ski Patrol is hiring for winter seasonal roles in the 2026/2027 season. Responsibilities include promoting guest safety, assisting injured guests, and maintaining mountain trails. Must be an expert alpine skier with a current Colorado EMT certification and excellent guest service skills.

Starting wage ranges from $21.51/hr to $25.30/hr, with full-time and part-time shifts available. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test.
• Fluent English communication.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment.
• Adequate sight, speech and hearing to learn and perform directions.
• Current Colorado EMT certification or higher.

Responsibilities

• Promote guest safety.

• Maintain trails, including closures, safety materials, avalanche mitigation, and other environmental impacts.

• Must have a Current Colorado EMT certification or higher level.

The expected pay range is $21.51/hr - $25.30/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
