Job summary

Labcorp in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for various tests, and ensuring accurate data entry and billing processes.

You will maintain patient and specimen logs and provide superior customer service to patients. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent phlebotomy training/certification) and may include an

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program is required or preferred.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
Process billing information and collect payments.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
