Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 2750 W. North Ave, and serves patients across a network of client sites in Chicago, IL.

The role involves blood collections, processing specimens, and delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will work with a team across patient service centers and client offices, ensuring precise data entry, accurate specimen handling, and compassionate service while adhering to vaccination and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
