• Provides basic patient care including care and comfort, vital sign measurement, personal care and hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Participates in hand-offs and reports of patient and department needs at shift changes.
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilizes patients using safe transfer techniques.
• Encourages patient independence and tailors care to patient interests.
