Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, equipment and safe work practices in painting.
• Knowledge of coatings, surface protection, and scaffolding.
• Ability to estimate material and labor requirements.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
• Oral communication skills to convey information clearly.
• Ability to match stains and paints and apply finishes.
• Must possess California Driver's License and drive a University vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain painted surfaces and fixtures.
• Operate HPLV spray booth equipment to finish surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces and apply stains, paints, and finishes.
• Provide direction to semi-skilled or unskilled workers and coordinate with Supervisor.
• Maintain spray volume and VOC logs; complete work orders and report progress.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean job site.
