Qualifications

• 4 years experience in the painter's trade with spray equipment knowledge.
• 4 years experience with surface tolerance for plaster, drywall, wood, metal, plastic, for paint and coatings.
• Ability to mix paints, varnishes, pigments; match color and viscosity.
• Skill in estimating type and quantity of materials for assignments.
• Ability to inspect, lubricate, clean, adjust or replace equipment related to painting.
• Knowledge of fire, safety and building codes; safe use of painting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain painted exterior and interior surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces and apply finishes or wallpaper/fabrics as needed.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment; oversee workflow and materials.
• Provide direction to semi-skilled or unskilled workers.
