Job description

Position Title:
Paint Supervisor

Salary:
$58,240-$66,560/year

Shift:
2nd

Hours:
4:30pm-3am Monday-Thursday (OT on Friday)

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Paint Supervisor for a company in Liberty, MO. This growing company is expanding its leadership team on the 2nd shift. If you have experience in industrial or automotive painting, this could be the perfect opportunity for your career growth!


Paint Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of prep, caulk, and paint technicians to ensure quality and productivity.
  2. Promote teamwork and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  3. Supervise all aspects of the painting process, from surface preparation to final topcoat, ensuring compliance with schedules, industry standards, and quality requirements.
  4. Monitor workflow efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues to optimize production.
  5. Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity in color, texture, and finish quality.
  6. Apply advanced color-matching techniques and equipment for accurate finishes based on specifications and customer expectations.
  7. Oversee maintenance and operation of paint booths, spray guns, compressors, and related equipment.
  8. Manage paint and supply inventory to maintain stock levels while minimizing waste and costs.
Paint Supervisor Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive or industrial painting with a record of high-quality finishes.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of auto body painting techniques, application methods, and various paints, primers, and coatings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and decision-making.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy objects, including paint cans and equipment.
