Job summary

Siena Woods Care Center in Dayton, OH is hiring an Exceptional Unit Manager. The role leads a care team across a unit serving 62+ residents, ensuring top-quality nursing care and regulatory compliance, while coordinating with the Director of Nursing.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current RN or LPN licensure in Ohio, with 5-7 years in long-term care and supervisory experience. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed as RN or LPN in the State.
• 5-7 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned unit.
• Lead and supervise a care team on a unit with 62+ residents and 35 staff.
• Meet with all shifts at least once per month and participate in committees.
• Oversee infectious disease tracking and report to Nursing leadership.
• Review admissions and orient unit staff with Director of Nursing.
• Ensure changes in resident condition are communicated to physicians and families.
