Job summary

The Spokane Valley Health and Rehab of Cascadia is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine daily nursing care to long-term residents in accordance with care plans and supervision. You will work closely with the therapy team to help residents achieve mobility goals, observe changes, and report to nursing staff.

Must hold a valid CNA license in Washington and current CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CNA license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• 6+ months experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, and incontinence care.
• Provide support to residents with behavioral health needs.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and intake/output.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises, eating, and mobility/transfers.

• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
